At Development Associates USA, we pride ourselves on our reputation for providing quality consulting and coaching services.
You know what your organization needs, just not how to put it into words that will exactly describe your unique situation.
We hear that a lot, so we’ve put together of some of our more popular training workshops that address many organizational needs. One may be just what you’re looking for, or we can customize a class to meet your needs.
Don’t Work With Strangers
Most people think they know their co-workers, and everyone believes they’re on the same team – yet there never seems to be any shortage of office conflicts, either between employees or between departments or both.
What we think we know about others most times is not totally accurate. In this program, we use the DISC personality profile to help participants better understand themselves and how to better relate to others by taking into consideration their and others’ communication styles.
We also emphasize team building and how improved understanding can help the company better achieve its mission and vision.
When In Charge – Take Charge!
But how do you do it? History has demonstrated that more than one leadership style can make things happen.
In this workshop, we explore the very different leadership styles of two very successful and renowned military officers. Both styles were effective, but under different circumstances.
Attendees participate in a critical analysis of these different leadership styles, evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of each, and discuss how these styles may or may not work in their work environment – or discover a modified leadership style of their own.
The Art of Communicating
Communicating, which occupies about 70% of our waking hours, is what leaders often find the most frustrating. The fact is, most of us were never taught how to communicate in a manner that produces results, so we continue to experience frustration, conflict, misunderstandings or breakdowns.
In this workshop, we explore the core principles of communications, the common communication errors, how to prepare for a successful communications engagement, and how the use of “weasel words” destroys the best intent of any statement.
Responsibility and Accountability in the Work Place
Do you have a “Teflon Tommy” in your workplace who always seems to find a way to skirt personal accountability or always has an excuse when things don’t get done on time?
Or, are you perhaps looking for a system to help you improve your ability to perform and provide better accountability to your boss or team?
This workshop presents a process that will help you establish goals, create an action plan of responsibility and built-in accountability, as well as ways to track your progress to insure the project is completed on time.
Personal organization and time management strategies are also discussed as an important component to being prepared to take on work without becoming overwhelmed.
